I can't say that we're a "small kennel" because we're not a kennel at all.  We are owned by 5 wonderful golden retrievers who share our home, our furniture, our money, and, most importantly -- our lives!  Our dogs are our "furkids," and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We haven't bred any puppies yet, but when the time comes that we want another show or performance dog that we bred, we probably will.  But until that time comes, we are thoroughly enjoying our precious furbabies.

We live in Wylie, Texas, which is Northeast of Dallas, directly East of Plano.  We live on 2.2 acres, which gives our dogs plenty of room to run and play.  About 3/4 of an acre is fenced for backyard, and the rest is used for agility equipment and room to work on hunting skills.

We actively compete with our dogs in conformation showing with CH Whiskey, CH Martini, and baby Stoli will be shown in the future.  We also compete in agility with Bailey, Kahlua, and Whiskey.  Martini is in training in agility, and baby Stoli is in the housetraining stage.  :o)  Bailey and Kahlua are actively training in hunt.  Bailey has several hunt titles and recently earned his CD obedience title.  He has his Rally Novice title as well.  Kahlua has earned several agility titles and we hope to add a hunt title to his name in the Fall 2008.

All in all, we have a very busy life with our dogs and we love every minute of it!

We both have had dogs most of our lives, but had never seriously trained dogs until we got our first Golden Retriever.  We got Bailey in January of 2000 because some friends had a cute little Golden puppy that they got from some "breeders" in Stephenville.  We had to have one, so we got Bailey from the same breeder.  Unfortunately, we didn't have the knowledge to ask for health clearances, and we had no idea what a "reputable" breeder was.  We discovered Bailey had hip dysplasia when he was nine months old.  After doing research, we decided to have TPO (triple pelvic osteotomy) surgery on him.  As it turns out, it was the best thing we could have done because he is a very active boy.  He has earned titles in agility, hunt, and obedience.

After we got Bailey, we decided we wanted another golden, and, since we had done research on health issues, we went to a reputable breeder in Denver and got Kahlua.  He's such a blessing.  He has agility titles and is training in hunt.  Hopefully, he'll get a hunt title this fall.

The rest, as they say, is downhill from there.
